The last bell rang this year for 89,111 graduates of 9th forms and 53,953 graduates of 11th forms. Many, after saying goodbye to school, will enter colleges or universities. Almost immediately after the graduation ceremonies, on June 14, centralized testing in academic subjects will begin. The CT will end on June 27, and the reserve day is July 2. Testing in the Belarusian language will take place on June 14, in Russian on June 15, social studies on June 17, biology on June 19, mathematics on June 20, the history of Belarus on June 22, chemistry on June 23, physics on June 24, a foreign language (English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese) on June 25, modern world history and geography on June 27.
A total of 101,691 applicants (275,948 person-tests) registered for centralized testing in Belarus.
It is planned to admit 27.9 thousand people to state-funded places in higher education institutions of Belarus. As for secondary vocational education, 40.5 thousand people are expected to enroll at this level.
As reported, in connection with the graduation ceremonies, the sale of alcohol will be restricted today. An exception will be retail sales in catering establishments for drinks served on the premises. In Minsk, for example, the restriction will be in effect from 00:00 to 24:00. For violation of trade rules, there is a penalty in the form of a fine from two to ten basic units (1 BU - Br180 thousand).
The police will work around the clock during the school graduation ceremonies. Law enforcement officers and education workers will pay special attention to places of mass youth recreation, including entertainment venues, as well as retail outlets. Places where graduates will arrive from schools after the ceremonies will be under special control.
The police of the Minsk region worked in the same mode, in particular, during the last bells. More than 20 minors were detained for committing administrative offenses, most of them for consuming alcoholic beverages, as well as for being in public places at night without adult supervision. In shops in the Borisov and Minsk districts, law enforcement officers established facts of selling alcoholic beverages during the restriction on their sale.
