Graduation ceremonies for eleventh-graders in Belarus will be held on June 9-10, as reported to journalists by Larisa Emelyanchik, consultant of the main department for educational work and youth policy of the Ministry of Education, according to a BELTA correspondent.

"This year, graduation ceremonies with the presentation of certificates of general secondary education will be held on June 9 or 10 in general secondary education institutions – schools and gymnasiums," said Larisa Emelyanchik.

In some cases, the graduation ceremony may take place in an institution of additional education for children and youth or culture. According to the consultant, this situation is possible if, for example, an old school building lacks an assembly hall or the number of graduates exceeds the seating capacity.

The specific date (June 9 or 10), time, duration, and venue of the graduation ceremonies are determined by the head of the general secondary education institution with the participation of the parent committee, the class, and in agreement with the local executive and administrative bodies.
