March 6, Minsk /BELTA/. It is recommended to hold graduation ceremonies for students of the 11th (12th) grades in Belarus from June 10-12. The document on the completion of the 2011/2012 academic year, the conduct of final examinations, and admission on a competitive basis to certain educational institutions for basic education and secondary education has been sent to all educational institutions in the country, the BELTA press center of the Ministry of Education reported.
It was noted that graduation ceremonies will traditionally be held at schools, gymnasiums, and lyceums. The administrations of educational institutions, representatives of parental and student communities, and boards of trustees, with written consent from district administrations, are granted the right to determine the end time of graduation ceremonies.
This year, no innovations are planned in the organization and conduct of the event. The format of the ceremonies will be traditional. Primarily, the ceremonies are organized in educational institutions. Traditionally, representatives of legislative and executive authorities, public associations, and sponsoring organizations will participate in the ceremonies. Great attention will be paid to ensuring public order and the safety of event participants during this time. Duty shifts will be organized in the country during graduation ceremonies to maintain public order and ensure the safety of students.
It is planned that the process of conducting final examinations, issuing relevant documents, as well as graduation ceremonies will be completed by June 12 inclusive, as the first centralized testing exam (in the Belarusian language) is scheduled to begin on June 14.
This academic year, more than 86,000 young men and women will complete basic school, and more than 59,000 graduates in Belarus will complete secondary school. -0-
