The revenue from the sale of unused property at auctions in the Vitebsk region in 2011 exceeded Br58 billion, as reported to BELTA correspondent by Mikhail Pavlyuchkov, Director of the Vitebsk Regional Territorial Fund of State Property "Vitebskoblimushchestvo". Along with the regional fund, the Economic Court of the Vitebsk Region, the republican unitary enterprise "Vitebsk Institute of Real Estate and Appraisal", and the communal enterprise "Vitebsk Regional Marketing Center" participated in the sale of unused property at auctions. In total, 886 properties were involved in economic activities across the region, including 713 of state ownership, 97 of open joint-stock companies with a share of communal property, and 76 of the regional consumer union. In the past year, the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" Fund announced 131 auctions for the sale of real estate objects. At 58 successful auctions, 252 properties and the rights to conclude lease agreements for land plots necessary for their maintenance were sold. The total sales amounted to almost Br21 billion.
