Woven belts and amulets will be presented at the regional exhibition-competition at the Vitebsk Regional Methodological Centre of Folk Art, BELTA was informed by the institution.

The exhibition titled "Belts Not Just for Beauty" will open today at 3:00 PM in the centre's exhibition hall. The exhibition will showcase works by masters of weaving, belt braiding, and amulet making from almost all districts of the region. "We have gathered a variety of woven and braided belts, as well as amulet dolls made using textile plasticity techniques. The exhibition also features amulets made of wood, clay, straw, and other natural materials," the centre explained.

Today, the second exhibition titled "Legends and Tales of the Dvina Region" will also open at the methodological centre. Here, Houses of Crafts of the region will present compositions created based on folklore works. The exhibits are made using various decorative and applied art techniques.

In addition, the methodological centre will present special literature on local features of weaving and belt braiding, and the work of outstanding masters.

Master classes will be organised during the vernissage.
