19 April, Minsk /BELTA/. The international specialised exhibition "TIBO-2016" opens today in Minsk, the Ministry of Communications and Informatisation of Belarus informed BELTA.
Among the exhibition guests are expected to be the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union Houlin Zhao, the Executive Secretary of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications Nuriddin Muhitdinov, the Head of the ITU Area Office for CIS Countries Orozobek Kayikov, the Minister of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Ramin Namig oglu Guluzade, the Vice-President of EMC Corporation Michael Grets, the General Manager of Microsoft for Public Sector in Central and Eastern Europe Trudy Norris-Gray, and others.
The "TIBO-2016" exhibition will present several thematic areas, taking into account the priorities of state policy in the field of ICT: "National Information Infrastructure", "Digital Economy", "E-Government and E-Interaction", "ICT in the Socio-Cultural Sphere", "Digital Transformation Strategy", "Robotics", "Digital Technologies in Printing and Publishing".
More than 100 companies from 18 countries (Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Great Britain, Turkey, China, Republic of Korea, Japan, USA) are planning to participate in the "TIBO-2016" exhibition. The central place in the exhibition exposition will be occupied by the stand of the Ministry of Communications, which will include expositions from other ministries and departments.
Among the participants are leading fixed and mobile communication operators - RUE "Beltelecom", SOOO "Mobile TeleSystems", SP "Velcom", SOOO "Belarusian Cloud Technologies", cable operators SP "Cosmos-TV" and OJSC "MTIS", postal operator RUE "Belpochta". Global brands Huawei, ZTE, Nokia Networks, Canon, Epson, Samsung, SAP, Dell, EMC, Motorola, Tamron, Eaton will also be presented at the exhibition.
In addition to individual company stands, the exhibition structure includes stands of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the State Committee on Science and Technology, suppliers of innovative solutions in trade, the Lithuanian ICT sector association "Infobalt", and the national stand of Azerbaijan.
The "TIBO" exhibition will run until April 22.
