In memory of those who did not return from that war, and in honour of the heroes living among us, solemn events were held in the Lepel region.

For example, a requiem rally took place near the agricultural and technical college. Participants in the ceremony included internationalist soldiers, representatives of authorities, law enforcement agencies, public associations and organisations, students, and other concerned residents of Lepel.
