The exhibition, held from May 5 to 7, will run under the slogan "The Word in the Service of Peace". Over the years of its operation, the professional exhibition "Mass Media in Belarus" has become not only an integral part of the life of the Belarusian media community but has also acquired the status of an international forum for electronic and print media. Traditionally, in addition to Belarusian media, mass media from the Russian Federation, other CIS countries, the Union State, China, Venezuela, Cuba, etc., take part in the exhibition.
The program of the "Mass Media in Belarus" exhibition is diverse: round tables, seminars, and master classes will be held with the participation of leading journalists and media specialists from Belarus and Russia, press dialogues "The Role of Mass Media in Covering Issues of Interethnic and Interreligious Relations", "The Role of Mass Media in Strengthening Belarusian Statehood", "Photojournalism of the Future: New Trends", "Scientific Interest", a seminar "New Media of Belarus" with the participation of representatives of leading Belarusian media, and other events.
On the evening of May 5, the solemn award ceremony for the winners of the XI National Competition of Print Media "Golden Letter" will take place, and on May 6, the winners of the first Republican Creative Competition "Photo of Belarus" will receive their well-deserved awards.
The exhibition is attended by print and audiovisual media, news agencies, integrated media structures, internet providers, print distributors, and advertising organizations, as well as publishing houses and printing companies.
This year, the exhibition is held in conjunction with the RUE "National Exhibition Centre "BelExpo" of the Presidential Affairs Directorate of the Republic of Belarus at the NEC "BelExpo" (27 Y. Kupala St.). The exhibition's exhibitors will present new types of content, solutions for broadcasting organization through new information transmission channels, stylistic specifics of online journalism, and other aspects. The priority is to meet society's needs for diverse, high-quality, and, most importantly, timely information through all available communication channels. The exhibition will showcase the most advanced practices of traditional media, present the latest achievements of Belarusian and foreign media in content production and the use of cutting-edge information and communication technologies, facilitate professional communication among members of the journalistic community, foster the exchange of best practices, and attract a wide audience's attention to innovations and best examples in the mass media sector.
The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, NEC "BelExpo", with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minsk City Executive Committee, the National State Television and Radio Company, the Public Association "Belarusian Union of Journalists", the Union of Publishers and Distributors of Printed Matter, the Telecommunication Industry Union, and RUE "Dom Pressy".
