27 July, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. Belarusian farms have surpassed the three-million-tonne mark for grain harvest, BELTA was informed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. As of today, agricultural organizations in the country have harvested 3 million 206.2 thousand tonnes of grain. Farms in the Minsk region are leading in the harvest, with 684.1 thousand tonnes to their credit. Agrarians of the Gomel region are in second place with 590.4 thousand tonnes, and farms in the Mogilev region are in third place with 550.9 thousand tonnes. Since the start of the harvest, agricultural organizations in the Brest region have received 542.2 thousand tonnes of grain, Grodno region - 490.3 thousand tonnes, and Vitebsk region - 348.3 thousand tonnes. Cereals and leguminous crops have been mown on 1 million 30.5 thousand hectares, which constitutes 42.3% of the harvesting area. Farms in the Gomel region are ahead in harvesting rates, having already mown 63% of the cereal area. In the Mogilev region, this figure is 51.1%, and in the Brest region - 45.4%. At the same time, the highest yield of cereals is in farms of the Grodno region, where it reaches 42.5 centners per hectare. The average yield across the country is 31.1 centners per hectare. 256.3 thousand tonnes of grain have been delivered against the state order, which is 25.9% of the plan. Agrarians have been set the task to complete the grain harvest in the shortest possible time and with minimal losses. Over 11.4 thousand grain harvesting combines are involved in the fields for this purpose. "All resources are being used to maintain high harvesting rates," the Ministry of Agriculture and Food emphasized.-0-
