The state order for grain sales is almost 50% fulfilled, with 493 thousand tons of new crop grain received from agricultural organizations of Belarus for state republican needs, the BELTA correspondent was informed at the Resources and Trade Department of the Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture and Food's Grain Products Department.
According to operational data, elevators and grain reception points have already accepted 295 thousand tons of wheat, 173.5 thousand tons of rye, and 24.2 thousand tons of other crops, which constitutes 52%, 58%, and 16% of the plan, respectively.
In terms of grain delivery to the state, farms in the Minsk region are leading, having delivered 126 thousand tons towards the state order, fulfilling their plan by 52.5%. In second place are farms in the Vitebsk region, which have met the state order by 51.7%, shipping 69.8 thousand tons of grain. Enterprises in the Mogilev region have delivered 82.3 thousand tons to the state, fulfilling their state order by 51.4%. The Grodno region has fulfilled its plan by 48.7%, shipping 97.3 thousand tons of grain towards the state order. Agricultural organizations in the Brest and Gomel regions have delivered 69.1 thousand tons and 48 thousand tons of grain, respectively, towards the state order, which accounted for 43.2% and 37% of the assignment, respectively.
The Slutsk Grain Processing Plant was the first in the republic to fulfill the state order, accepting 33.6 thousand tons of new crop grain, which is 101.3% of the assignment. The enterprise continues to accept grain above the planned volume.
According to specialists' assessments, the pace of grain delivery to the state is satisfactory. Supplies are carried out rhythmically, and the volumes of grain supplied are stable. In terms of quality – gluten content and specific weight – the new crop grain is no worse than last year's. Supplies towards the state order are under special control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and heads of agricultural organizations bear personal responsibility.
The state order this year amounts to 1 million 25 thousand tons of food grain and 175 thousand tons of oilseed rape. Grain product organizations are to accept 570 thousand tons of wheat, 300 thousand tons of rye, and 155 thousand tons of other crops. The state order for food grain has been increased by 3.5% compared to last year.
85 organizations are involved in the harvest procurement of 2011, including 21 grain processing plants, 11 mixed feed plants, 10 grain reception enterprises, 4 procurement elevators, and 39 production sites. All procurement enterprises of grain products operate around the clock. -0-
