12 August, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. Belarusian farms are completing flax harvesting, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food told a BELTA correspondent.
As of 12 August, flax has been pulled from 58.2 thousand hectares, which is 96% of the harvesting area. Agricultural organisations in the Gomel region are leading in harvesting rates, where the plan has already been fulfilled. In the Brest region, 99.2% has been harvested, Mogilev region - 98.3%, Minsk region - 98.1%, Grodno region - 97.6%, and Vitebsk region - 90.4%.
The harvesting of grain and leguminous crops continues. To date, crops have been mown across the republic on 2142.4 thousand hectares (87.9% of the area), including 31.8 thousand hectares (1.3%) over the day. Agricultural organisations of the republic have threshed 6385.9 thousand tonnes of grain with an average yield of 30 centners per hectare. 838.1 thousand tonnes of grain (84.7%) have been supplied against the state order. -0-
