On January 16, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Economic Court of the Vitebsk Region is planning to send SMS messages to debtors, as reported to BELTA correspondent by the Economic Court of the Region. Currently, the possibility of sending proposals for voluntary repayment of outstanding debts via mobile phones to individuals against whom enforcement proceedings have been initiated is being studied. It is worth noting that bailiffs of the Economic Court of the Region are actively implementing modern information technologies in their work. Given the significant practice of the Department for the Execution of Decisions on Conducting Auctions in Enforcement Proceedings, bailiffs intend to intensify the sale of property through electronic auctions, the main advantage of which is speed. In addition, a buyer, unable to attend the auction venue, can participate in it via the Internet. In 2011, the Department for the Execution of Decisions of the Economic Court of the Vitebsk Region executed 9,502 enforcement proceedings, which is 16% more than in 2010. Of this number of cases, 65.6% were actually executed, which is one of the highest indicators in the system of economic legal proceedings in Belarus; 14.4% of the total number of executed proceedings were executed with an act on the impossibility of recovery, which is the lowest indicator; 258 enforcement proceedings were terminated by settlement agreement, this indicator is also the highest in the republic.
