24 June, Vitebsk /BELTA/. Artists from Latvia and Lithuania will introduce Daugavpils to the guests of the XXII International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", BELTA reports with reference to the official website of the forum.

The exhibition of graphic miniatures "Daugavpils - Big… Small" will open on 14 July at the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore. This exposition of works was created during the I Latgalian Graphic Symposium, which took place in the autumn of 2012 in Daugavpils. At that time, for several days, 18 artists from Latvia and Lithuania, working side by side and exchanging experience, emotions and feelings, as well as drawing inspiration from the rich Daugavpils cultural and historical environment and the incomparable Latgalian nature, created many wonderful graphic miniatures executed in various techniques and styles. The authors tried to feel the environment in which they had the opportunity to create, and to capture the subtlest nuances of emotions and feelings born in their imagination, in order to reproduce them later – to make an imprint of their sensations on paper.

Each of the works presented at the exhibition, individually, is a particle of time, space, light, colour and scent that the artists managed to lure into their creative nets. All together, they form a single picture of the great Daugavpils.

Among the authors of the works are Lasma Pujate, Ieva Nagliņa, Marīte Kluša, Diāna Apele, Digna Sīrcova, Elita Teilāne, Aivars Bulis, Ieva Stočka and other artists.-0-
