A four-time laureate of the Russian National Theatre Award "Golden Mask" will present the dance performance "Songs of the Last Grass" (music by contemporary authors, arrangement by Sergey Meshcheryakov) on the Vitebsk stage.
Artists from Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Spain, Italy, Canada, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovenia, the USA, Ukraine, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, and Japan will perform at the anniversary forum.
Key highlights of the grand opening concert will include the presentation of participants in the Belarusian contemporary choreography competition, congratulations to the Vitebsk dance forum on its 30th anniversary from the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus, and the presentation of a special award for significant contribution to the development of modern choreography and dedication to creative work. This award will be presented by People's Artist of Russia Sergey Bezrukov to a Belarusian choreographer or dancer. At the festival, the renowned artist will also present Anna Matison's film "After You," in which he played the role of a choreographer. The premiere screening of the film and a meeting with its creators will take place before the evening concert at the "Vitebsk" House of Cinema.
Fans of contemporary dance will be interested in the "Museum-Archive" exhibition-installation dedicated to the festival's anniversary, Anna Moiseuk's photo project "Calligraphy of Dance," and the creative exhibition by Alexander Salivonchik (Belarus - Germany). The subsequent days of the forum will also be filled with numerous master classes, engaging meetings, and other events.
The founders of the festival are the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the Ministry of Culture, the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, and the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus. The organiser is the "Vitebsk" Culture Centre.
