Employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, together with interested prevention entities, are conducting preventive measures within the framework of the "For Safety Together" campaign, aimed at preventing fires and deaths from them.

In the private sector, the risk of fires is higher compared to apartment buildings. Violations of safety rules when firing a stove, malfunctions of gas and electrical equipment can destroy a dwelling in a matter of minutes, leading to significant financial losses. Socially vulnerable categories of the population are under close scrutiny – such as citizens living alone, single parents, disabled individuals, large families, citizens who abuse alcohol and lead an antisocial lifestyle.

In general, when visiting households, rescuers paid attention to the condition of heating equipment, the presence and operability of autonomous fire detectors, the condition of electrical wiring, and the general order in the dwelling and on the adjacent territory.

The shortcomings, and there were few of them, identified during the raids, are rectifiable and will be eliminated by the homeowners in the shortest possible time. Those who can be assisted will receive help from the territorial center for social services for the population. It is important that careless owners develop not a sense of security, but full responsibility for their home, and along with it, for their own lives.
