March 20, Minsk /BELTA/. In the first two days of early voting, 9.8% of Belarusian citizens included in the voter lists participated in the elections of local council deputies. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Nikolai Lozovik, Secretary of the Central Commission for Elections and National Referendums.
In the Brest region, 8.94% of voters cast their ballots on March 18-19, in Vitebsk region - 10.41%, in Gomel region - 10.14%, in Grodno region - 8.13%, in Minsk region - 9.22%, in Mogilev region - 10.42%, and in the city of Minsk - 10.91%.
Voter turnout in the repeat elections of a deputy to the House of Representatives for the Gomel-Novobelitsky constituency No. 36 over two days was 7.11%.
Early voting in the elections will continue until March 22 inclusive. Polling stations will be open with short breaks from 10:00 to 14:00 and after a break from 16:00 to 19:00. Election Day is scheduled for March 23. -0-
