On May 2nd, a fire of an outbuilding occurred in the village of Veselovo, Volosovichsky Village Council. As a result of the fire, the outbuilding was completely destroyed.
The cause of both fires was careless handling of fire while burning rubbish.
To prevent simple yard cleaning from turning into a tragedy, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds:
- Burning rubbish is permitted only in calm weather;
- The place where you plan to burn collected rubbish should be at a safe distance from outbuildings and other structures, as well as from forests and peatlands;
- The bonfire pit must be dug around;
- Stock up with a bucket of water, a shovel, or a fire extinguisher and do not leave the fire unattended for a second;
- After finishing burning, pour water over the remaining embers until smouldering completely stops.
We draw citizens' attention to the fact that for violation of these fire safety rules, administrative liability from 10 to 30 basic units is provided.
