As part of the republican campaign "Do not leave children alone!", employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations held an interactive event at the "Tri Tseny" (Three Prices) store in Lepel.

During the preventive talks, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told locals about fires that occurred in the district, explained their causes, and demonstrated the autonomous fire alarm, which annually justifies its purpose by saving dozens of lives.

Rescuers paid special attention to parents, reminding them of the dangers of leaving their children unattended.

To prevent a tragedy in your home, remove matches, lighters, and other fire hazards from sight, – reminded the adults an inspector from the district department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. – Explain to young children the consequences of playing with fire, remind them of the procedure in case of a fire, and tell them how to properly call emergency services by phone.

While rescuers were talking to parents, children were spending their time productively, participating in various quizzes and competitions on life safety basics.

No one left without a gift from the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees: colourful colouring books for children, and leaflets reminding parents not to leave children unattended.
