Last year, repair work began on the territory of the "Lepel Bakery" branch of JSC "Vitebskhlebprom". In previous years, the enterprise carried out internal repairs, primarily the replacement and upgrade of technological equipment. For example, ovens were purchased and installed that use natural gas instead of electricity for baking, as well as other imported equipment that allows for higher production output with lower costs. Now, attention is shifting to the buildings, their condition, and external appearance.

For a long time, the factory territory was enclosed by a brick fence. The bricks had cracked, and the mortar had begun to weather. The fence also gradually acquired a rather unaesthetic appearance. Last year, builders demolished the old fence, and after some time, a new one made of modern metal sheeting was erected in its place. Where it is neat and tidy, people are more comfortable working.

It was the turn of the "Garačy chleb" (Hot Bread) shop on Barysaŭ Trakt. Many residents of Lepel, on their way home from work, stop by to buy a loaf or two of still-warm bread, fragrant baguettes, and rolls. Over the decades, the shop has become a kind of calling card for the enterprise, so repairs were simply necessary. Metal sheeting on the canopy to prevent water from dripping on customers, roller shutters for the window, interior repairs, and door replacement are just part of the recently completed work.

The "Kalasok" (Ear of Corn) company store is located at the beginning of Internatsyyanalnaya Street. The retail outlet is also situated in a convenient location for people, between the quarters of agricultural machinery, land reclamation, PMK, and road construction organizations, where many Lepel residents work, and the central residential areas. Therefore, stopping by "Kalasok" on the way home from work has become an indispensable attribute and ritual for many over the years.

Naturally, the attention of the enterprise's management was also drawn to the branded retail outlet. Recently, several units of trading equipment have been updated there. Now the shop looks more modern and attractive.
It is planned to replace the windows in the production workshops. The bakery is one of the few enterprises where glass panes in wooden frames are still preserved in the window openings. In summer, they are single, and for winter, double ones are installed. And although the staff tries to treat the property with care, time takes its toll. According to the employees, it is cool in the workshop in winter, especially when the oven is not working.

One door has already been replaced, and now a new plastic double-glazed window is installed in the opening, which can be opened completely or only for ventilation. Representatives of the company that manufactures and installs plastic windows visited and took measurements. So, the staff hopes to meet the upcoming winter in even more comfortable conditions.

The director of the bakery, Vladimir Kuranny, adds that the repairs will not be limited to the aforementioned facilities only; production and administrative premises will be gradually improved and updated.
