Among the main problematic issues discussed were the delayed sowing of winter crops and the slowdown in the harvesting of potatoes, and in some districts, sugar beet, as well as corn for silage.

Following the report, Alexander Lukashenko issued a number of instructions. In particular, the government and the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, together with the governors, are to intensify agricultural work and, if possible, carry out winter sowing until late evening, and where possible, at night. The number one task is to sow winter crops within a week.

The minister and the government have also been instructed to organise a meeting with the head of state in a week's time to report on the specific results of the work done.
