16 May, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The President's Address sets specific tasks for businesses. This viewpoint was expressed in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent by Nikolai Martynov, Director General of JV "Marko", member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
Having defined the tactical directions for the country's development in the near future, the President highlighted key benchmarks for bringing the economy to a new qualitative level. First and foremost, this concerns the modernization of the economy and the well-being of the population, which are closely linked, believes Nikolai Martynov. "You cannot simply give a salary of $500. It must be earned, and for this, the employee must be provided with conditions that increase their labor productivity," he said. This is precisely why the modernization of production, technical re-equipment, and the development of new types of products are so important. "The leading role here belongs to the manager, who must be active and innovative in their thinking," he added.
At the same time, the businessman emphasized that the theses of the Address apply equally to both state-owned and private enterprises. "No one will push a private entrepreneur, but they must understand that Belarus is a European state where highly educated people live, and it cannot be a backward and poor country," is convinced Nikolai Martynov.
In his opinion, the Address rightly notes that the state's task is to create conditions for those who can work and to help the weak. "Such a system is being built in the country, its structure is becoming quite clear," he believes. -0-
