On October 22, Minsk /Elena Prus - BELTA/. The target for job creation in small towns of Belarus for 2010 has been increased by 390. This decision is contained in Government Resolution No. 1509, which amends Resolutions No. 1640 of October 30, 2008, and No. 87 of January 25, 2010, the Council of Ministers' Office informed a BELTA correspondent.
Commenting on the document, Tatyana Korshikova, Head of the Employment Promotion Programmes Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, noted that a total of 175,365 new jobs should be organised in 2010.
Based on proposals from regional executive committees, the job creation target in small towns has been increased for Brest region by 150, for Vitebsk region by 100, for Grodno region by 70, for Gomel region by 50, and for Minsk region by 20 jobs. According to the ministry representative, a number of indicators for active population employment promotion measures have been increased, which will allow for the creation of an additional 75 jobs by allocating budget loans to employers, and ensure the participation of 100 employed citizens and 100 unemployed individuals in paid public works.
The clarification of funding volumes for the Action Plan for 2010 to implement the State Programme for Population Employment Promotion of the Republic of Belarus for 2009-2010 has been carried out based on the results of the first half of the current year, aiming for the rational and effective use of allocated funds. It should be noted that the change in funding volumes has been made within the limits of funds provided by the Law "On the Budget of the State Non-Budgetary Fund for Social Protection of the Population of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus for 2010" for financing population employment promotion measures. -0-
