In total, it is planned to provide health improvement services for 43,620 boys and girls during the summer holidays in the Vitebsk region, including 15,000 in camps with round-the-clock stays for children and 28,620 in day camps.
Br113 thousand has been allocated from the national budget, and over Br283 thousand from the regional budget for the preparation and strengthening of the material and technical base of children's health resort camps. Camp owners intend to allocate an additional Br400 thousand for these purposes.
According to specialists, in the summer, 650 day camps are planned to operate in the Vitebsk region, as well as 28 stationary health resort camps with a capacity of 4,888 places per shift. In addition, 12 camps will be opened on the basis of boarding schools, rural schools, and tourist and health complexes, where over 2,000 schoolchildren will rest and improve their health.
The average cost of a voucher for a round-the-clock camp will be Br439, with a state subsidy of Br175 to reduce the voucher cost. Br29 thousand has been allocated from the regional budget for subsidising vouchers for children from vulnerable categories. The budget also provides funds for the payment of 20 vouchers for children suffering from diabetes and two accompanying adults (they will undergo health improvement during the first shift at the "Raduga" camp). In addition, district executive committees are seeking additional funds to pay for vouchers for orphans, children with disabilities, and children from large families.
