According to the Forest Code, the permit document for citizens to procure timber in small quantities is an order. It allows for the procurement of up to 50 cubic meters of timber, but no more. To obtain an order, one must apply to the forestry. They will explain which plot and which trees should be felled. The order must be carried during the felling. It is also a necessary document for the removal of timber products. The procured timber can only be removed after it has been measured by an official of the forestry and marked in the relevant sections of the order.
The fee for self-procured firewood timber is generally small. In contrast, the fine for felling trees without a permit document can reach 30 base units in commercial forests and 50 base units in conservation, recreational, health, and protective forests.
