In today's fast-paced world, individuals must possess knowledge and be financially competent, keeping abreast of the sector's development dynamics. To this end, an educational session for students of the Lepel Agrarian-Technical College was held at the central district library on the topic "Financial Literacy is the Key to Success."

The event was prepared and conducted by Lyudmila Romanovskaya, a librarian in the Service and Information Department and a former specialist at OJSC ASB "Belarusbank," and Anna Vasilevskaya, the head of the same department.

Throughout human history, there are numerous instances where utterly destitute individuals became millionaires, and conversely, those who suddenly came into wealth managed to lose it all in a short period. The situation in the latter case was unequivocally influenced by a lack of understanding of how money works, how to earn it, and how to manage it. Financial literacy helps individuals manage their funds correctly and provides a greater chance of living in prosperity. This, and more, was what the students learned from Lyudmila Romanovskaya's presentation.

During the session, the attendees' attention was focused on the most popular methods and types of modern fraud.

Anna Vasilevskaya conducted a practical exercise in the form of tests on topics such as "Personal Finance," "Cash," "Savings," and others.

The students also familiarised themselves with the content of the information zone, which featured educational brochures and flyers on topics including "What to Do If Money is Stolen from Your Card," "How to Protect Your Gadgets from Viruses," "How to Protect Yourself from Financial Scammers," and others.
