Traditionally, rural librarians of the district attend classes in a creative laboratory every year, during which they exchange experience and enhance their professional skills. This time, thirteen people gathered at the Domzharitsy Library. The hosts introduced the guests to the work of their institution – they observed how the library was decorated and familiarized themselves with the main events that had been held there recently. A visit to the House of Ecological Education left a good impression on the guests. They heard many interesting facts about the history of the creation of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve and watched Igor Byshnev's film "Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve". Temporarily, while the reserve's museum is undergoing renovation, a part of the museum exhibition is displayed in the House of Ecological Education, which the librarians also had the opportunity to see.
Then they went out onto the "ecological trail", where they met fairy-tale forest dwellers – the Tsar, the Mermaid, the Leshy, Baba Yaga, the Kikimora, and the Bolotnik. However, fairy tales coexist with reality here, which, after all, is also of fairy-tale beauty. For example, a raised bog, where the participants of the creative laboratory met a resident of these places... the Bolotnik, and learned who he is, where he lives, and what he uses to frighten lost travelers.
Guests had the opportunity to admire the beauty of the natural panorama from a ten-meter high observation deck.
Finally, they visited the enclosures with bears, elk, roe deer, a bison, a raccoon, and a lonely swan, who respectfully cherishes his devotion to his deceased mate.
The event was titled "Under the Green Sail – Towards the Future" and was ecologically oriented with elements of theatricalization.
