The Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora under the President of the Republic of Belarus reminds:

According to the Rules for conducting fishing and fish farming in the fishing grounds of the Vitebsk region, from April 10 to June 8, a ban on catching all types of fish is established, with the exception of amateur fishing carried out by a fisherman with one rod with one hook or one spinning rod equipped with an artificial lure, with one single, double, or treble hook in daylight from the shore (without entering the water) or from ice, from artificial structures, except for those listed in the Rules for conducting fishing and fish farming.

From April 15 to May 30, a ban on catching zander is in effect.

Fish caught during the prohibited period will be calculated at triple the rate for each individual. According to the Code of Administrative Offences, in particular, Part 1 of Article 15.35. Catching fish or other aquatic animals without proper permission, or during prohibited times and seasons, or in prohibited places, or with prohibited gear, or by prohibited methods, as well as an attempt at such catching, entails a fine of 20 to 50 base units.

If the amount of damage is 100 or more base units, criminal liability is provided for under Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
