The Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora reminds you! In order to preserve the pike-perch population and create favorable conditions for its reproduction, its capture is prohibited in all fishing grounds of the republic from April 15 to May 30.
In case of catching (landing) pike-perch within the specified period, it must be immediately released into its natural habitat (directly at the place of capture) with minimal damage, regardless of its condition.

For illegal fishing of pike-perch, administrative liability is provided for under Part 1 of Article 16.25 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus, and the offender faces a fine ranging from 10 to 30 base units, and for each pike-perch individual, compensation for damages must also be paid, calculated based on tariffs assessed at triple the amount. Thus, for one pike-perch, the damage will amount to 18 base units (810 rubles). If the amount of damage is 100 or more base units, criminal liability is incurred.
In addition, for being in fishing grounds or adjacent territories within a distance of up to one kilometer from the shoreline of fishing grounds with pike-perch, the fishing of which is prohibited from April 15 to May 30, without documents confirming the legality of possession of the fish, or its movement (transportation), administrative liability is provided for under Part 3 of Article 16.25 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus, which entails a fine ranging from 5 to 30 base units.
