New Year's greetings are being sent to the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, and the Belarusian people from foreign leaders, heads of international organisations, and prominent figures. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Among those who have already sent greetings are leaders from Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Kuwait, Myanmar, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Palestine, as well as the leadership of various international organisations, including the CSTO and the CIS.
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, wished Alexander Lukashenko good health, well-being, and success in the coming year 2026. "Close allied cooperation helps Russia and Belarus to overcome with honour any difficulties associated with the challenging international situation. By coordinating efforts in foreign policy, defence, and security, Moscow and Minsk effectively protect their legitimate interests on the world stage. The implementation of a set of measures aimed at strengthening our financial, economic, scientific, and technical sovereignty yields good results," emphasised Vladimir Putin.
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, noted in his congratulatory message that Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations had steadily developed in the outgoing year, and cooperation had strengthened in all priority areas. "I am convinced that in the coming year, we will be able to fully realise the significant potential for cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus," emphasised Ilham Aliyev. He wished Alexander Lukashenko, his family and loved ones good health, happiness, inexhaustible energy, and success, and the friendly people of Belarus - prosperity and well-being.
In his congratulatory message to the Head of State and the people of Belarus, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, expressed firm confidence that Minsk and Bishkek will continue to consistently strengthen multifaceted cooperation through joint efforts. "May the coming year strengthen the successes achieved, bring new achievements in the socio-economic sphere, and increase the well-being of the Belarusian people," the congratulatory message reads. "On the eve of the holidays, allow me to wish you, dear Alexander Grigoryevich, good health and further success, and the people of Belarus - peace and prosperity."
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian wished the President of Belarus good health and success, and the Belarusian people happiness and well-being. "I express the hope that in the coming year, through joint efforts, relying on the principle of peaceful coexistence, and acting on the basis of justice, we will be able to ensure peace and tranquility in the current troubled world," the congratulatory message reads.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his congratulatory message to the Belarusian leader, noted the high level of development achieved in Belarusian-Uzbek relations of traditional friendship and multifaceted partnership. "I am convinced that in the coming year, through joint efforts, we will continue to build mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, implementing new promising initiatives in the interests of our peoples," emphasized the President of Uzbekistan, wishing the head of the Belarusian state good health, success in all endeavors, and new achievements in state activities, and the friendly people of Belarus peace and prosperity.
In a congratulatory message to Alexander Lukashenko, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expressed confidence that in the coming year 2026, Minsk and Dushanbe will fill their fruitful interaction with new practical content. "It is gratifying that in 2025, the relations of friendship and multifaceted cooperation between our countries maintained high dynamics and were marked by new joint steps for their progressive development for the benefit of our peoples," the congratulatory message states. Emomali Rahmon wished Alexander Lukashenko and his family good health, happiness, and well-being, and the fraternal people of Belarus peace, stability, and further sustainable progress.
The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov also sent a congratulatory message to the President of Belarus and the Belarusian people: "I sincerely congratulate you on the upcoming New Year, 2026! I wish you health, happiness, and success in your noble endeavors, which contribute to strengthening partnership and mutual understanding on the international stage. May the New Year bring prosperity and flourishing to the people of your country."
The Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, wished the President of Belarus good health and well-being, and for the good relations between the peoples of the two countries – further development and prosperity. "I want to wish that the New Year becomes a year of goodness for all of humanity, bringing peace, security, and prosperity to all peoples of the world," added the Emir of Kuwait.
Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the National Security and Peace Commission, Min Aung Hlaing, expressed his conviction in a congratulatory message to Alexander Lukashenko that the existing potential for friendship between Belarus and Myanmar will be further strengthened in 2026. Min Aung Hlaing reaffirmed his firm commitment to close cooperation with the Belarusian side for the effective implementation of the agreements reached.
Warm wishes on the occasion of the holidays were sent to Alexander Lukashenko by the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi: "May the New Year be marked by the renewal of our commitment to enhancing joint efforts and constructive interaction, dialogue and mutual understanding, in order to overcome current conflicts and advance common aspirations for a more peaceful, stable and confident future for our peoples."
A sincere congratulation was also sent to Alexander Lukashenko by the President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas: "I wish you wonderful and happy holidays, and a prosperous year in which you will enjoy goodness, health and success, and in which the friendly people of Belarus and all peoples will live in peace, security and prosperity."
Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill expressed his gratitude to the Belarusian leader for his unwavering care in protecting traditional moral values and his attention to the needs and aspirations of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, which, in cooperation with the state authorities, makes a significant contribution to affirming the principles of peace, goodness, justice, and mutual support in society.
