A meeting of the regional organizing committee for the preparation and celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War is taking place at the regional executive committee.

Representatives of Lepel District are also participating in the meeting via video conferencing.

At the meeting of the organizing committee, the main points will be discussed regarding ensuring decent living conditions for veterans of the Great Patriotic War; resolving issues of improving military memorials and burials; perpetuating the memory of fallen defenders of the Fatherland; patriotic work in educational institutions, work collectives, and places of residence, as well as the concepts of the festive events themselves in Vitebsk city and the regions.

During the discussion, I ask you to be active and express your proposals. We must approve the conceptual approaches for the events held in the region, - said Alexander Subbotin.
