January 19, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The main works at the "Marko-City" business center must be completed by April 1. This task was set today by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, to the heads of construction organizations and relevant departments during his visit to the facility, BELTA correspondent reports. "Main block A is practically ready, with only some minor deficiencies to be rectified. Meanwhile, the work on this facility has been delayed, resulting in a loss of budget revenue," emphasized Alexander Kosinets. In his opinion, the root cause of this situation lies in the incorrect approach of the managers. "The entire issue boils down to discipline and proper work organization," stated the governor. Summarizing the visit to the "Marko-City" complex, Alexander Kosinets set the task to complete the work on block A of the business center by February 1, on block B and the parking lot designed for 300 parking spaces by March 1, and to practically complete the entire scope of work on the facility by April 1. The grand opening of "Marko-City" is planned to be held during the days of the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". "By this time, the complex must be operational, and people should already be working here," emphasized the chairman of the regional executive committee. The "Marko-City" complex, located in the city center on Lenina Street, is a multi-level structure crowned with pyramids of glass, concrete, and metal: two 14 m high and one large one with a square base of 42 m by 42 m and a height of 26 m (block A). It will house a hypermarket, shopping galleries, entertainment centers, bars, discotheques, bowling alleys, casinos, restaurants, offices, etc. The complex will be connected to the main concert venue of the regional center, the Summer Amphitheatre, by an underground passage, which is also planned to be commissioned in the first half of the year. -0-
