Representatives of the district organisation of the public association "Belarusian Women's Union", whose main focus is to promote the protection of women's rights and legitimate interests, met within the framework of a dialogue platform.

Opening the meeting, Elena Borodeiko, Head of the Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the district executive committee, noted that as the country is currently nominating proposals for discussion at the VI All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the women of Lepel region also decided not to remain on the sidelines and to come forward with their ideas.

During the meeting, it was discussed that significant work is being carried out in the country to support and protect women's rights, and care is shown for family and motherhood. However, there are a number of areas that would be desirable to improve slightly.

Children's health, childcare allowance up to 3 years of age – these and other issues became the main topics for discussion among women working in various fields.

Issues of staffing, retention of youth in rural areas and small towns were also considered.

Summing up the work of the dialogue platform, the meeting participants concluded that the family is an integral part of society that contributes to the formation of a harmonious personality. Therefore, parents need to be supported in raising children and provided with all possible assistance.
