A mother, a beloved, a worker – the fairer sex has many facets. On the eve of Women's Day, a solemn event took place at the district cultural center – the honoring of the Women of Lepel District 2010. This was the chosen way to recognize their invaluable contribution to the high achievements of the national economy and to our lives.
How to identify the best? This was a difficult question for the organizers. It was necessary to acknowledge their work, their contribution to public life, and their authority within their work collectives. It was no less important to cover all spheres of the district's activities, as women work everywhere alongside men, and in some sectors, even better.
Having considered and discussed numerous candidacies, the district executive committee decided to award the title of Woman of Lepel District 2010, along with Honorary Diplomas and prizes, to Lyudmila Pshanko, Head of the Matyrinsky Rural Club; Tamara Gorbacheva, Deputy Chairperson of the District Consumer Society; Tatyana Malets, Dentist; Natalya Sushko, Head of the Circle at the Children's Creativity Development Center "Zhemchuzhina"; Anna Pligavka, Head of the Canning Workshop at the MKC; Nina Ignatovich, Flax Mill Operator; Svetlana Pshanko, Workshop Foreman at the Mixed Feed Plant; Galina Matyrko, Tractor Driver at OJSC "Ladna"; and Nina Sudas, Head of the Production Department at PMK-75. Flowers, Honorary Diplomas, and prizes were presented to the women in the assembly hall of the RDC by Vladimir Kuranny, First Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee. At the solemn ceremony, he added many sincere words on his own behalf to all the women of Lepel District.
After the presentation of diplomas, the stage was taken by pupils of the Children's Art School, under the guidance of Viktor Ivanovich and Natalya Vasilyevna Dzhamilashvili, who gave a vibrant performance for all the women gathered in the hall. And the hall, incidentally, was full that day. Parents came to see the successes of the young singers, dancers, and musicians. Flashes of cameras flickered in the hall from time to time, as mothers and fathers captured the most memorable moments of the performances.
