On October 19, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Housing construction consumer cooperatives (HCCC) are returning to Vitebsk. The decision to establish four cooperatives after a long break was made by the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, the head of the construction department of the city executive committee, Oleg Sivitsky, told a BELTA correspondent. Currently, the city executive committee is working on establishing HCCCs based on apartment buildings in the new Bilevo-2 microdistrict. According to the source, this will simplify construction financing and allow those involved in construction to obtain more favorable loan terms compared to equity holders. Until recently, housing in the regional center was built through equity participation. Unlike other regions of Belarus, in Vitebsk, equity holders included not only individuals improving their housing conditions but also those in need, explained Oleg Sivitsky. At the same time, HCCC is the main method of housing construction for those in need of housing. Members of the cooperative make contributions and participate in cooperative meetings. The meetings address issues of construction organization, cooperative management, and financial matters. HCCC, along with the capital construction department, monitors the progress and quality of work performed and participates in the commissioning of the building. For the first nine months of the current year, 88.6 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned in Vitebsk, or 26.5% of the annual target.
