A resident of Shumilino district persuaded her cousin to engage in prostitution, Dmitry Orekhva, senior prosecutor of the department for supervision of the legality of court decisions in criminal cases of the Vitebsk region prosecutor's office, informed a BELTA correspondent. A native of Shumilino district, born in 1984, who had been engaged in prostitution in Moscow for several years, persuaded her 18-year-old cousin in 2008 to go work with her as a saleswoman. But when the girls arrived, it turned out that there was no such vacancy for the inexperienced village girl, but work in the field of providing intimate services in Podolsk, Moscow region, was immediately found. The girl accepted the offer and worked as a prostitute for several years. Following an inspection of operational information received by law enforcement agencies about this fact, a criminal case was initiated against the enterprising resident of Shumilino district. For involving someone in prostitution, she was sentenced to one year and six months of imprisonment. The sentence has entered into legal force. -0-
