A week of intensive harvesting has passed, and it is now becoming increasingly clear that weather is the main factor. As a rule, the condition of machinery, the availability of fuel and lubricants, and the human resources in the farms remain at last year's level. However, this year's indicators of harvested areas and threshed grain significantly lag behind last year's. With the simplest analysis, we arrive at the disappointing conclusion that this year, despite all the efforts of the farmers, the celestial office repeatedly makes its unpleasant adjustments.
It is all the more pleasant, therefore, to hear the news that there are combine operators in the district who have threshed a thousand tons of grain. As last year, the youth crew of Leonid Alexeenko and Pavel Khaniok from the agricultural production branch "Zaazerye" of the integrated structure of the open joint-stock company "Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant" has taken the lead. The guys immediately head to the field as soon as the weather clears and gives the green light, and they work from dawn till dusk.
