Journalists from all over the region gathered for the I Forum of Young Specialists "MediaStart".
The participants were welcomed by Vyacheslav Viktorovich Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee:
"You have entered a very interesting stage of your lives. You have chosen an interesting, albeit challenging, profession. There will be many difficulties, there is no smooth path. But when you do your job well, for the people, the result will be there."
Marina Vladimirovna Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, was also present at the event:
"You have entered the most interesting profession, you must know about everything. We expect your perspective on what is happening in our country and in the world from young journalists, how you see it."
Natalia Kamlyova, Editor-in-Chief of the regional newspaper "Vitebskiye Vesti", and Diana Kurilo, Editor-in-Chief of the newspapers "Vitbichi" and "Vecherniy Vitebsk", addressed their mentees. The media leaders wished the young specialists good luck in all their endeavours and shared their own initial work experiences.
Sofia Borisenko and Maria Dekan, who have already made a name for themselves in the media space, spoke about their work.
