The meeting of the information and propaganda group with employees of the electrical communication organization and the Lepel inter-district department of the State Committee of Forensic Examinations of the Republic of Belarus was held in the assembly hall of Lepel UES of the Vitebsk branch of RUP "Beltelecom".

Anatoly Kuprevich, Head of Lepel UES, Vitaly Zhigimont, Prosecutor of Lepel District, and Dmitry Venjik, Senior Engineer of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, took part in the discussion.
Current issues within the scope of the District Department for Emergency Situations and the District Prosecutor's Office were considered.
Dmitry Venjik presented statistics on fires in the district and region, and reminded attendees of the need for caution when tidying up around private homes and dachas, and when burning dry vegetation, post-harvest residues, and standing grass.
Vitaly Zhigimont once again addressed the pressing issue of our time – fraudsters.
"They are inventing more and more ways to steal funds through deception and abuse of public trust, and often the victims themselves are to blame. The most common method of deception is online fraud. As practice shows, criminals skillfully use all available information and technologies, understand human psychology, forcing victims to disclose information about themselves, their loved ones, and bank or settlement account details. If you receive a phone call from someone claiming to be a bank employee, police officer, or representative of other structures, call back using the official numbers of financial institutions and law enforcement agencies, dialling the number yourself. Do not disclose your full bank card details, PIN codes, CVC/CVV codes, or one-time passwords for transaction confirmation to anyone. If unlawful acts have been committed against you or your loved ones, immediately report the incident to the police," concluded the Prosecutor of Lepel District.
