On February 10, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. All civil servants, heads and employees of state organizations in the Vitebsk region will be tested on their knowledge of the norms and provisions of the law "On Citizens' and Legal Entities' Appeals". The decision was made today at a meeting of the regional executive committee, BELTA correspondent reports.
The competence check in the sphere of law application will be carried out in the region until April. "Citizens' appeals reflect the situation in the region's economy, and they can be used to judge how people assess the authorities," emphasized the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets. In this regard, an analysis of socially significant problems raised in the appeals will be conducted quarterly in district, city executive committees and the regional executive committee. Their solutions will be considered at the meetings of executive committees. Electronic appeals received by authorities will also be summarized, and answers to frequently asked questions will be posted on the websites of state bodies and state organizations.
In 2011, executive and administrative bodies of the Vitebsk region at all levels considered 27,978 citizens' appeals, the structure and nature of which have not significantly changed compared to 2010. Citizens' appeals continue to be dominated by issues of housing and communal services, the exercise of citizens' housing rights, labor and social protection, etc. In 2011, citizens' appeals regarding construction issues became particularly acute. In general, the necessary measures have been taken to resolve justified citizens' appeals, including those concerning the most pressing socially significant problems of the population. -0-
