18.09.2023

The agenda of the forthcoming session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus will include 14 issues, Chairman of the Standing Committee on State Construction, Local Self-Government and Regulations of the House of Representatives Valentin Semenyako told the media on 18 September, BelTA has learned.

“As for the agenda of the session, it is expected to include 14 issues,” Valentin Semenyako said.

Six of them will go through the first reading, four more will be considered at the second reading. “Three relate to international agreements, which the Parliament needs to ratify. Traditionally, we leave one question as a reserve issue in order to consider personnel changes that may occur in the parliamentary corps,” the MP added.

“The first reading will include bills on notary and notarial business, road traffic, procurement of goods (works, services) and also a number of other necessary documents. Four bills will be prepared for consideration in the second reading. They include a bill on a unified state system of recording offenses, a bill on the protection and quarantine of plants, a bill on changing the legislation on health protection and on social protection. All these draft laws are currently in the highest degree of readiness,” Valentin Semenyako emphasized.

The MPs continue to work on the bills in the standing committees. “At the moment there are ten bills under consideration in the House. They will be submitted for consideration of the deputy corps as soon as they are ready, and accordingly, the agenda will be supplemented. All this will help us organize a proper work of our parliament,” the MP said.
