Children's drawing contests to mark WWII anniversaries announced in Belarus

The Belarusian Defense Ministry has announced children's drawing contests "Little Heroes of the Great War" and "They Fought for the Motherland" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, BelTA has learned from the Ministry of Defense.

The events will be held in two legs. The first leg "Little heroes of the Great War" is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and will last until 10 June 2024. The second leg of the contest "They Fought for the Motherland" is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and will run until 10 April 2025.

The contest is held in three age categories: for children aged 7-9, 10-12 and teenagers aged 13-16. The terms of the contest are available on the official website of the Defense Ministry of Belarus.
