Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko will pay an official visit to Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, BelTA has learned.
“As part of efforts to expand cooperation with far arc countries, a government delegation will visit several Latin American countries soon, namely Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua. Venezuela and Cuba are our long-time partners, they are well familiar with Belarusian products, we have a history of relations and we have built cooperation infrastructure in the form of intergovernmental commissions on trade and economic cooperation. Nicaragua is a relatively new, but promising partner for us,” said Roman Golovchenko.
He instructed the government delegation to achieve practical results. “We should not only implement all our plans, but also identify possible areas of growth. The potential for cooperation with this region still needs to be fully explored. Therefore, it is extremely important to make sure that the visits will result not only in deals, but will also lay a solid foundation for the future,” the prime minister emphasized.
According to the government press service, the official visit started on 14 July.
