Alexander Lukashenko approves appointment of new heads of local executive committees

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has approved appointment of chairmen of the local executive committees of the Vitebsk, Gomel and Minsk oblasts and Minsk City, BelTA learnt in the presidential press service. Thus, Viktor Nikolaikin was appointed chairman of the Vitebsk oblast executive committee, Piotr Gishkeliuk and Nikolai Shevchuk were appointed chairmen of the Braslav and Polotsk regional executive committees respectively. Natalya Kochanova will head the Novopolotsk town executive committee; Vasiliy Budkevich will head the administration of the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk. The new chairman of the Minsk regional executive committee will be Piotr Yarmosh. Oleg Tabaniukhov will be deputy chairman of the Minsk City Council. Boris Vasilyev will be head of the administration of the Frunze district of Minsk, Valentin Borisenko – deputy head of the Gomel oblast executive committee.
