Alexander Lukashenko wants farming standards observed

While visiting private agricultural company Polesie-Invest in the Petrikov region today, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko demanded that farming standards should be observed both in the Gomel oblast and other parts of the country.

The head of state also underscored the importance of a diligent approach to land utilisation, including utilisation of meliorated lands. “A land plot is developed and left unploughed. Why did you invest in it at all?” wondered Alexander Lukashenko.

The President issued an instruction to bring Petrikov region farms in order. “You need to come to every farm and straighten it out”, he said addressing the local executives.

The President has been informed, the Gomel oblast plans to complete the spring field operations by May 15.
