BPS raises prices for potash fertilizers shipped to Southeastern Asia and Brazil

Belarusian Potash Company (BPS) has raised prices for potash fertilizers shipped to Southeastern Asia and Brazil by $400 per tonne, BelTA learnt in the company. BPS informs shareholders, partners and customers about resumption of the talks regarding the new contracts for the delivery of potash fertilizers. The new price has come into force on November 7. For Brazil the new price will come into force starting January 1, 2008. It will make up $400 and $410 per tonne for big and small importers relatively. According to Vladimir Nikolaenko, the general director of Belarusian Potash Company, the demand for potash fertilizers in the world is outgrowing supply. The freight cost increase also had a profound influence on the price boost, Vladimir Nikolaenko noted. Belarusian Potash Company is an exclusive supplier of potash fertilizers produced by Belaruskalii Co. and the Russian Uralkalii to the international market. The company sells its products to Africa, Europe, India, China, the USA, the Pacific region, Central and South America. The company has a well-developed distribution network and representative offices in Beijing (China), New Delhi (India), Singapore, San Paulo (Brazil) and Chicago (USA).
