Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent 100th birthday greeting to Great Patriotic War veteran Valentina Baranova, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"It is symbolic that you are celebrating this significant date in the Year of Peace and Creation, the value of which you know from your own experience," the message reads. "Courage, heroism, fortitude and bravery marked your path from Slavyansk to Berlin during the years of the Great Patriotic War."
The work career of Valentina Petrovna became a true example of selfless service to the Fatherland, the head of state noted. "As a keeper and preacher of historical truth, you convey it to generations that have not known the horrors of war. Possessing life wisdom and exceptional charm, you bring the ideas of love, kindness and justice to society,” the president emphasized. "Being a bright representative of the generation of winners, you continue to be active during the well-deserved retirement."
Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed his deep gratitude to Valentina Baranova for her feats of arms and labor, her selfless work. "May you always be surrounded by loving, reliable and loyal people! I wish you good health, prosperity, joy and happiness under the peaceful skies of Belarus!" the head of state said.
