President will not let anyone destabilize situation in Belarus

22.01.2008
It is inadmissible to let the opposition, advancing “business protection” slogans, destabilize the situation in Belarus, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said on January 22. “Money and investors do not like wandering around squares and uproar and it seems like the opposition needs destabilization. That is why we cannot let peaceful Minsk turn into a hot-spot,” the head of state underlined when visiting the Minsk City Hall. “The opposition leaders say there were 20 thousand protesters yesterday, though the real figure is 1,5 thousand. They stated that many small firms were put out of business. A small group of businessmen said they were set up and left the square,” Alexander Lukashenko underlined.
