15:49:05 27/11 АНГЛ,НЕТ,СМ/ 41,РГВ Sound economic reasons are needed for changing delivery date on the facilities intended for commissioning under the Children of Belarus Programme in 2007, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky said during a session of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers which considered this programme. The Prime Minister said that feasibility reports justifying the need to adjust several sub-programmes should be submitted to the government. This will allow us to address the President with a initiative to shift the delivery date on the respective facilities and change the relative financing plans. Four projects under the Children of Belarus Programme cannot be delivered this year. These are children’s rehabilitation-recuperation centre Vetraz in the village of Kosteni, Postavy region, Luzhki boarding school in the Vitebsk region, a secondary school in the village of Seletskoye in the Kostiukovich region which is currently being renovated, and also the purchase of imported equipment to produce easy-open can lids for Orsha Meat-Packing Plant. According to Economy Minister Nikolai Zaichenko, no reports were made earlier on the problems either by the executors or the coordinators of the relevant sub-programmes. These problems were revealed by the inter-departmental working group set up at the Economy Ministry. “The Economy Ministry believes it is possible to recognize the work of the Vitebsk and Mogilev oblast executive committees as unsatisfactory,” Nikolai Zaichenko said. Twenty-six problems were scheduled for delivery in 2007 under the Children of Belarus Programme. Over the ten months six facilities were commissioned. Almost Br44.5 billion of capital investments was used to construct the facilities envisaged in the programme. This accounts for 65.8% of the sum assigned for 2007 and 99.8% of the sum assigned for ten months. The Children of Belarus Programme 2006-2010 includes five-sub-programmes – Children and Law. Moulding an Individual, Children of Chernobyl, Disabled Children, Orphans, Baby Food.
